February is CTE Month

What is CTE Month?
Career and Technical Education Month®, or CTE Month®, is a public awareness campaign that takes place each February to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country.
What can I do during CTE Month?
Host a school visit and invite members of your local community to learn about your school's strong CTE programs firsthand
Communicate with policymakers from mayors to Congress to inform them of the importance of CTE
Reach out to the media to encourage them to attend events and advise them of the benefits of CTE, or use social media to do the same
Work with Business and Industry Leaders to ensure they understand the role CTE plays in readying their future workforce
Share events using our CTE Month calendar and provide updates through our CTE Month Success Stories page
Purchase pens, pencils, lanyards and other CTE Month Merchandise to use at events or at your school
Download our CTE Month Logo for use with any print or digital outreach. (Email Us if you plan to utilize the logo, especially if you would like it in a different file format. Please read the Logo Use and Restriction Agreement before using the logo.)
Please note that the term "CTE Month" or "Career and Technical Education Month" must be followed by the trademark sign (®) the first time it appears in a document or visual presentation.

CTE equips students with:

• Academic skills and the ability to apply skills to concrete situations. They learn by doing, through real-world experience combined with classroom knowledge.
• Employable skills essential to any career, through hands-on training by professional instructors with industry experience.
• Technical skills specific to a career pathway.
At a time when opportunity for employment is so critical, CTE programs in every community are ensuring students are equipped with the skills to successfully enter the workforce.
